Abstract

By adopting the framework of conflict theory in security criminology, the author examines in-depth the strategic implications of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu's cooperation on Middle East security equations. The findings show that this political alliance has threatened sustainable peace in the region by designing and implementing a systematic program and has established a new model of organized crisis creation. Taking into account the assumptions of Trump's first term at the macro level, the alliance took a unilateral approach and openly violated international norms, redefining the rules of political play in the Middle East. Moving the US embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights were prominent examples of these provocative policies that challenged the balance of international law. At the operational level we saw a significant intensification of the settlement process in the occupied territories and the expansion of the scope of military operations against civilians an example of Netanyahu's violation of the ceasefire under the pretext of releasing other prisoners of war was October 7, 2023. These actions, which were accompanied by targeted de-legitimization of international Palestinian rights organizations, pushed the political climate in the region towards greater confrontation. The criminological analysis of this phenomenon indicates three main mechanisms: first, the process of criminalizing the legitimate actions of the resistance, which was accompanied by political labeling. Second, the normalization of systemic violence through mainstream media. And third, the institutionalization of the discriminatory system, which was manifested in the form of unfair laws. The study concluded that Trump-Netanyahu's joint strategy not only violated international law by creating a vicious cycle of violence and reaction, but also transformed the security architecture of the region.
