English

Cognitive warfare, as a strategic tool, uses media and new technologies to influence public perception, belief, and emotions and guide the intellectual orientation of society. This type of warfare is a soft but effective arena for dominating minds and shaping public opinion. Therefore, the present study is a systematic review of the dimensions and characteristics of cognitive warfare in the present era and presents a developed model in this field. This study is based on developmental research in terms of purpose and systematic literature review in terms of method. The statistical population includes research conducted (Persian articles) on the topic of cognitive warfare in the period from 1395 to 1404 that have been published in Iranian journals. Finally, by searching various scientific databases, 30 articles were identified and analyzed and selected for in-depth review. The research findings were presented and explained in the form of two basic questions. Also, by combining the questions, answers, and components obtained from the analysis of the findings, a general model was obtained in the form of a more comprehensive form, whose dimensions and components include cognitive warfare perspectives (goals and strategies of cognitive warfare, tools for countering cognitive warfare), Media and cognitive warfare (media literacy, new media literacy, digital media, counter-strategy), science and technology and cognitive warfare (intelligence opportunities, scientific productions, futures studies), social and economic systems, philosophy of cognitive warfare (existence, structure and architecture, goals of cognitive warfare, conceptualization of cognitive warfare, function of cognitive warfare, strategies in cognitive warfare) and human capital and cognitive warfare (importance of human capital, employee training, job motivation, job satisfaction, organizational commitment).
