English

Considering the complex and multifaceted challenges in diplomacy and international negotiations, this research examines the role of a deeper understanding of human psychology in enhancing international negotiations. The hypothesis of the research is that a better understanding of human motivations, emotions, and behaviors can lead to significant improvements in the quality of negotiations and achieving sustainable agreements. Qualitative analysis of successful and unsuccessful negotiation case studies shows that factors such as empathy, recognition of hidden motivations, and awareness of cultural challenges can facilitate or weaken obstacles. The findings of this research, based on a descriptive-analytical approach, indicate that negotiations in which the psychological understanding of the parties is taken into account have a higher success rate compared to those that neglect this aspect. This research based on the theoretical framework of constructivism emphasizes the necessity of paying attention to psychology in diplomatic processes and suggests that strengthening interpersonal skills, cultural and social characteristics, and negotiation models among diplomats can serve as a key factor in improving international relations and addressing global challenges.
